A Reiner Knizia Classic

Los Banditos

Dive into a thrilling duel of bandits!

Two bandits square off, vying for valuable “booty tiles” that hold 1-3 victory points. These tiles are up for grabs, with dice in four distinct colors tucked away in a draw bag. Initially, four victory point tiles are set in the center, while the others wait in a stack.During each turn, players pull out two dice from the bag, rolling them to form strategic poker-like combinations of three.

Players can stake a claim on a tile — even preempting their opponent’s complete set of three dice. This can be done if they can conclusively show that the opponent has no chance of winning that particular tile. The winner of the tile then replenishes the center with a fresh tile from the stack. The high-stakes race ends when one bandit accumulates 10 victory points. Ready to roll your way to victory?

How to play it with the unidice?

During Los Banditos gameplay, players will take turns rolling the unidice to determine their move. The unidice displays 2 dice at once, which can differ in colors (black, green, red, blue) and value (1-6).

When it’s your turn, simply give the unidice a roll to see what you get. The top side of the unidice will display one available die, while the sides of the unidice represent the second die. From there, you’ll need to decide where you want to place your dice.

To place your dice, you have two options. You can either double-tap on the loot displayed on the four sides of the unidice, or you can simply tap on your smartphone screen to select where you want to place your dice. This will help you strategize and choose the best possible move to outsmart your opponent and win the game.

How to play Los Banditos?

In Los Banditos, the loot chips have different values, ranging from low to high. Once a loot chip is claimed, the unidice will automatically draw a new loot chip until the end of the game.

It’s important to note that there’s a limit of three dice on each player’s side of a loot chip. If both players have placed three dice on each side of a loot chip, the player with the highest dice result ranking will immediately win the loot.

If both players have the same dice combination, the player who finishes first will win the loot. The ultimate goal of the game is to be the first player to reach 10 victory points. This can be achieved by collecting and winning as many loot chips as possible throughout the game. So, strategize carefully, choose your moves wisely, and collect those valuable loot chips to become the ultimate bandit and win the game!

With simple rules and quick gameplay, Los Banditos is a fun and exciting game for players of all ages. So, grab your smartphone, connect your unidice, and get ready for a thrilling game of strategy and luck!

Actions during the Game

In Los Banditos, players have the option to either claim or abandon loot during their turn. This decision can be made before or after rolling the dice, depending on the player’s strategy.

Abandoning a loot is an option regardless of the number of dice a player has placed on the chip. If a player chooses to abandon the loot, their opponent automatically wins it.

On the other hand, to claim a loot, there are two conditions that must be met. First, the player must have placed three dice on their side of the chip. Secondly, their opponent must be unable to form a better combination with three dice. If these conditions are fulfilled, a player can claim the loot and add it to their collection.

To determine the ranking of the dice result, a hierarchy is used. The highest ranking is three of a kind, followed by a pair, and then a single high die. In the case of a tie, the player who finished their placement first will win the loot.

So, strategize carefully and decide whether to claim or abandon loot during your turn in Los Banditos. With a mix of strategy and luck, you never know what exciting twists and turns the game will bring!
